Mr. Skalinder works diligently to partner with community and arts organizations to make up for the absence of funding for the arts in the Chicago Public Schools. These collaborations bring in tens of thousands of dollars of support, engage universities, college students and professional musicians directly with Kelly singers, and provide important mentoring for Brighton Park youth.

Mr. Skalinder works with generous partners to provide a wide variety of supports:

      • private voice lessons
      • recording studio projects
      • citywide school-to-school collaborations
      • solo master classes
      • professional accompanists
      • small ensemble master classes
      • sixteen acoustic piano donations
      • paid student internships in the arts
      • joint performances with professional musicians
